‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ will launch at a new slot – 8.30 pm, Monday to Thursday – from August 15, 2011 on Sony Entertainment Television. KBC this season for 14 weeks will come with special episodes and special themes, besides having a host of fresh and innovative developments.

Along with a new set with new design elements, KBC host Bachchan sports a new look and his wardrobe has been designed by well-known fashion designer Rohit Bal.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan feels the purity of written and spoken language is subsiding in these times of quick communication but hopes to restore the charm of literature by opening a musuem to store his father and noted writer Harivansh Rai Bachchan's works.

"I do believe that the richness of our language is getting lost. We used to spend a lot of thought and lot of energy behind what was written and spoken. Perhaps, it was a lot richer in earlier times," Amitabh told IANS in an interview.

The fifth season of the hit reality game show Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by Amitabh Bachchan begins its 14-week run on August 15, and shows Monday to Thursday at 8.30pm on Sony Entertainment Television.

The reality game show will be innovations this time, like 'Ghar Baithe Jeeto Jackpot', 'Machaha Padav' in the money tree, and special episodes like Jodi Special and School Special.
